About Ojalá Hojas

Ojalá: From the Arabic Inshallah, meaning “if God wills it”
Hojas: In Spanish, refers to both leaves and sheets of paper
Hello and welcome. What a gift it is to share this work with you.
I am proud and humbled to come from a long lineage of green thumbs. Raised by Colombian immigrants and PhD-trained in holistic education, Ojalá Hojas is a dream emerging from rich soil.
After years in academia, I took a leap of faith and started Ojalá Hojas as a way for myself and others to tend and nurture our relationships with the land, with our creativity, and with like-hearted community.
We craft—and can teach you how to craft—plantable paper rooted in regeneration, ritual, and care. Each sheet is made by hand using organically processed fibers and embedded with organic/non-gmo seeds. Designed to be fully compostable (not just biodegradable)—this is plantable paper the Earth deserves. And on such paper, what other than heart-filled messages is one to write and sow?
Our work is an invitation to slow down, to move from intention, and to remain in awe of what the Earth gives us.
And so, si Dios quiere:
May our work water seeds of possibility and creativity within us.
May it deepen our connection with the Earth and with one other.
Ojalá, may many hojas take root—adding a bit of beauty to our world.
